Boats, jetskis, golf carts and e-bikes. Our Ottawa service team hauls out, winterizes, stores and relaunches, and you can build your itemized quote online in a few minutes.
Quest Watersports offers year-round boat storage options and off-season maintenance packages to keep your boat safe & secure. Every fall we winterize engines and onboard systems, shrinkwrap, wash and store, then bring everything back ready for the season in spring. The fastest way to see what your winter will cost is our online winter quote. It only asks the questions that apply to your unit, itemizes every line, and carries straight through to signing and paying your deposit.
What we winter
Four kinds of units, one service team
Jetskis
Winterized and stored inside on their trailers, with retrieval, set and relaunch included. Detailing available. A trailer is required; if you need one, we can order it (lead time is typically 3+ weeks).
Golf carts
Flat-rate winter storage with pickup and delivery at Heritage Harbor.
E-bikes
Flat-rate winter storage that includes a tune-up, so your e-bike comes back ready to ride.

Where it winters
Winter storage runs from mid-October to mid-April, and outside storage is also available through the summer months. Inside storage includes retrieval, set and relaunch.

Engine winterization
● Basic: drain water, run on antifreeze, drain & fog, disconnect batteries
● Full service: everything in Basic plus, as applicable, engine oil & filter change, drive oil change, gimbal ring torque check, fuel conditioner and one fuel filter
● Inboard, sterndrive (I/O), outboard and jet-drive boats, plus PWC and jetskis. Twins? Each engine is covered
Drive train
● Transmission or V-drive service
● I/O transom service: remove drive, check alignment, grease input shaft & u-joints, check bellows, gimbal ring & bearing, and transom plate
● Recommended every 2 years or 200 hours for I/O
Onboard systems
● Fresh water systems, with or without heads
● Ballast tanks drained
● Air conditioning
● Generators, basic or with oil & filter change
● Pumpout service
Haul-out, launch & handling

How it works
From quote to relaunch

Get your quote
Build it online: pick boat, jetski, golf cart or e-bike and answer only the questions that apply. Print it, save it, or email yourself a copy, and come back to it any time with your quote number and last name. Prefer to talk it through? Call or email us.

Sign your agreement online
Your storage & services agreement opens with your quote number already filled in. A completed copy is emailed to you and to Quest automatically. You can also sign your contract here.

Pay your deposit
Your deposit reserves your storage space and your place in the retrieval order, scheduled in the order signed agreements and deposits come in. Pay online; cash, check, debit, Zelle and ACH carry no surcharge, and credit cards carry a 3% fee. Deposits and payments can be made here.

Tell us when you’re done for the season
Once your deposit is in, our emails ask when you’re ready to come out of the water: now, on a date you pick, or you’ll call. Haul-outs requested after the cutoff date on your quote carry a late retrieval surcharge.

We photograph it on arrival
Every unit is photographed as it arrives so you have a record of its condition, and we email you when it’s safely stored with a link to your photos.

Spring relaunch
Before spring we check in about any last-minute work and ask whether you’d like to launch as early as possible, any time, or as late as possible. We email when you’re up next, then send relaunch photos once you’re back in the water.
Measuring for your quote
Storage and several services are priced from your measurements, so measure the whole rig:
● Length overall (LOA): include the swim platform, outdrives or outboards, and bow pulpit. Most manufacturers leave these out of their listed length.
● On a trailer? Also measure how far the trailer sticks out past the boat, and the beam including the trailer if it’s wider.
● Jetskis: from the tip of the trailer tongue to the rearmost point, and the trailer’s full width at its widest.
Quest reserves the right to remeasure and adjust the bill accordingly.
Good to know
● Winterization doesn’t include spring start-up. Non-stock filters, oil capacities over 5 quarts, and special OEM or synthetic lubricants are extra.
● Canvas removal, drive misalignment corrections, and generator disassembly or difficult access are billed at shop rates. Shrinkwrap removal and disposal are not included.
● Please make sure your holding tank is empty before storage.
● Let us know where your keys will be. Fees apply if a unit has to be towed out or mechanically started without keys, or needs a jump start.
● Balances not paid by the pay-by date on your quote increase, and a monthly service charge follows, as spelled out on your quote.
