Jeff has been living and breathing the water since founding Quest Watersports in 2008. A true pioneer in the Illinois Valley, he launched the region’s first membership boat club in 2011 — bringing more people to the water than ever before. Since then, he’s grown Quest into a full-service destination for marine sales, paddlesports, e-bikes, and everything in between. Jeff is the kind of owner who knows every customer by name and greets everyone with a smile. When he’s not on the water or on the sales floor, he’s probably still thinking about Quest. Some people have hobbies — Jeff has a marina.

Scott has spent 25 years as a marine mechanic, and there isn’t a boat problem he hasn’t seen. At Quest, he works tirelessly through every season — getting boats tuned up and ready for spring, winterized when the cold rolls in, and everything in between. You might even spot him out at the harbor doing what he does best. And if you think he’s kicking back in his off time? Think again — he’s probably elbow-deep in another engine. Some people just love what they do.

Chris brings 18 years of experience in sailing and sales with Hobie kayaks and sailboats to the Quest team. He joined Quest in 2019 and has since grown into his role as Service Manager, overseeing all maintenance and storage needs. Add to that a deep knowledge of e-bikes, and there’s not much Chris can’t help you with. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about great service — he’s the kind of person who makes you feel taken care of the moment you walk in the door.

With over 20 years in sales and customer service, Randi is the heartbeat of the Quest customer experience. She runs the Quest Express Boat Club, helps customers find their perfect boat, and gets them set up with wet slips on the Illinois River. Whether you’re a first-time buyer or a seasoned boater, Randi has a knack for making everyone feel right at home. When she’s not busy keeping Quest humming, you’ll find her behind a camera or deep in an art project — proof that creativity runs in everything she does.

John has been part of the Quest family for 7 years, working his way up from operations associate to Detailing & Operations Manager. He oversees all boat detailing and makes sure everything runs smoothly at the marina — from drop-in to storage. If you stop by the shop, don’t be surprised if he greets you with a joke and an offer from his legendary candy stash.

A welcome addition to the Quest crew, Eli jumped in headfirst helping with boat detailing and marina operations. Whether he’s moving boats or making them shine, he brings a great attitude to everything he does on the water.

Christian joined the Quest team ready to get his hands dirty — and his boats spotless. He assists with detailing and moving boats around the marina, and is quickly learning the ropes of what it takes to keep everything running smoothly.
