eBike Charging Network
One of the best things about riding an eBike through Starved Rock Country is how far you can go — and now you can go even further. The Quest eBike Charging Network is a growing map of local restaurants, bars, cafés, and shops where riders can stop, plug in, and top off their battery while taking a break.
Whether you own an eBike or rented one for the day, these stops are here to extend your adventure and give you a chance to explore the local businesses that make this area great.

For Riders
Using a charging stop is simple — just bring your own charger (the same one that came with your bike). Here’s what to know before you roll in:
- Bring your charger.
- Each charging location provides access to a standard 120V wall outlet. Your bike’s charger plugs in just like any household device.
- You may need to remove your battery.
- Depending on where the outlet is located at each stop, it may be easier (or necessary) to remove the battery from your bike and bring it inside rather than running a cord outside. Most Aventon batteries detach quickly and easily.
- Plan for 30–60 minutes.
- A partial top-off charge during lunch or a drink stop can meaningfully extend your range for the rest of your ride.
- Be a good guest.
- These businesses are doing us a favor — please support them with a purchase while you charge!

For Businesses — Join the Network
Joining the Quest eBike Charging Network is one of the easiest wins available to any local business. Here’s why it works:
- You gain a captive customer.
- An eBike charging 30–60 minutes means a customer who is literally parked at your location and looking for something to eat, drink, or browse.
- The cost is negligible.
- Unlike charging an electric vehicle, an eBike battery draws roughly the same electricity as running a laptop. We’re talking a few cents per charge — not a meaningful expense.
- You’ll be on the map.
- Participating businesses are featured on the charging network map on this page, which is promoted to all Quest eBike renters and customers.
-
- No equipment needed.
- Riders bring their own chargers. All you provide is access to a standard wall outlet.
- No equipment needed.
If you’d like your business added to the network, fill out the short form below and we’ll be in touch to confirm your listing and get you on the map.
